CarboEuropeIP

Our participation in the European 6th Framework Programme CarboEuropeIP significantly increased our process-level understanding of CO2 exchange from agricultural and forest ecosystems in Switzerland and Europe.

It strongly increased our ability to predict the response of these ecosystems to potential climate change.

The annual carbon budget were quantified at each site. The response to environmental conditions were investigated to increase our understanding of the processes that control carbon sequestration, gains, and losses in the most abundant European land management systems.
